At Purple Ray Healing Acupuncture, we believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.
Sara Quesada, L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncture physician and medical herbalist in the State of Florida. She is nationally certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and earned her master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from ATOM in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2016.
Sara has over a decade of experience helping patients with a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal pain, sinusitis, headaches, infertility, hormone imbalances, pregnancy care, weight gain, gastrointestinal issues, anxiety, and depression. Her deepest passion lies in fertility, detoxification, and emotional wellness.
She places a strong emphasis on nutrition and herbal therapies to address systemic inflammation, the root of many modern ailments. Preventative care is a key part of her practice, and she is committed to educating and empowering her patients to take an active role in their healing. Over the years, she has supported hundreds of women both naturally and through IVF, on their journeys to motherhood.
Sara also enjoys guiding teenagers through hormonal changes and emotional development, offering support during this pivotal stage of life. She uses magnets or a gentle Japanese style of acupuncture, known for its subtle and effective approach.
In addition to acupuncture and herbal medicine, Sara incorporates sound healing therapy into her sessions, using crystal and metal singing bowls. This form of vibrational medicine helps to calm the nervous system, reduces stress, balance energy centers, and supports emotional release and deep relaxation. Many patients report feeling lighter, more grounded, and emotionally clear after these sessions.
Her passion for holistic medicine began in her teenage years after falling seriously ill. When conventional medicine could no longer help, she turned to acupuncture, herbal medicine, and lifestyle changes and found relief. Today, she shares those same healing tools with her patients. One of her favorite sayings is:
“Good health is all about lifestyle and a positive attitude.”
Her positive energy, warmth, and lightheartedness help put patients at ease while her knowledge and experience in Chinese Medicine provide a solid foundation for healing.
Sara completed her undergraduate studies in Alternative Medicine in 2013 at Everglades University in Boca Raton, Florida. Originally from Colombia, she enjoys sunrises on the beach, swimming, yoga, meditation, playing sound healing instruments and walks in nature.
