At Purple Ray Healing Acupuncture, we believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.
Sara Quesada, L. Ac. Is a licensed acupuncture physician and medical herbalist in the State of Florida and is nationally certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She received her master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from ATOM in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2016.
Sara has helped patients with musculoskeletal aches and pains, sinusitis, headaches, bell’s palsy, infertility, hormone imbalances, pregnancy care, weight gain, gastrointestinal conditions, anxiety, depression, among other things. She’s most passionate about fertility, detoxification, and emotional wellness.
She emphasizes nutritional and herbal therapy to reduce systemic inflammation where so many different diseases begin. Preventative care is taught and highly encouraged to improve and maintain one’s health. Her mission is to guide and empower each patient to heal themselves. Sara has treated countless women over the years that have tried to conceive naturally and through in vitro fertilization (IVF). She has had the honor to help hundreds of families bring a child into their lives, achieving their dream of becoming parents.
In addition, she greatly enjoys working with and guiding teenagers to navigate through hormone changes and emotions more effectively. She incorporates Japanese style of acupuncture, which is one of the gentlest types of acupuncture.
Her passion developed in exploring alternative health care options after becoming ill during her teenage years. After exhausting Western medical resources, she finally found relief from acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and specific lifestyle changes, which she teaches to her patients. Her saying is: “Good health is all about lifestyle and a positive attitude.” Her lightheartedness, positive energy, enthusiasm and warm personality help put her patients at ease along with her knowledge, and experience in Chinese Medicine.
She completed her alternative medicine undergraduate studies in 2013 from Everglades University in Boca Raton, Florida. She has over 10 years experience in holistic medicine and works with other professionals when integrative medicine is best for the patient. Originally from Colombia, she enjoys sunrises on the beach, swimming, yoga, meditation, or simply taking a walk outside in nature.
